Energy efficiency and sustainability
The objective is to seek out solutions for our clients in order to improve the energy consumption of their buildings and to implement energy generation solutions with clean and efficient energies, as well as to reduce the environmental impact of the organizations and to create the most suitable and healthy environments to live and/or work in.
We accompany and advise our clients throughout all phases of the project and investment: feasibility study and diagnostics, drafting of basic and executive project, implementation and monitoring, as well as the construction, management and operation phase.
To complement and to give the maximum services to our clients, we have a team of qualified engineers and accredited professionals to provide energy certification services such as ZERO ENERGY BUILDING, PASSIVE HOUSE and nZEB/NZEB and sustainability services such as LEED, BREEAM, RESET, WELL, SITES, LEVEL(s) and AEO among others.
Other services offered by the Energy department, to comply with the LEED certifications are:
- Fundamental Commissioning: basic commissioning, a mandatory requirement for LEED certification. Creation of a commissioning plan, development of construction specifications, verification of installations, performance of the systems to be checked, etc.
- Enhanced Commissioning: elaboration of a conductive plan of the installations with indications for its correct functioning. Monitoring of the building during the first 10 months of use, checking that it operates under the conditions for which it was designed and programmed its operation. During this process, the programming of the building is also adapted to the actual operation of the building.
- RESET: Management and preparation of documentation for the certification. Visit to the building to be treated, calculation of the number of sensors to be used and their location based on RESET requirements to ensure an optimal indoor air quality. Coordination with third parties for the required audits and installation, procedure for the final obtention of the certification.
PGI also offers the option, in the event that the minimum requirements to achieve the certification are not met, of guiding the customer by proposing different improvement options.
